During a visit to Winnipeg on September 23, Corporal Judy Labarre, a Reservist from 16 Wing Borden, was awarded the title of Deserving Air Reserve Junior Non-Commissioned Member. The citation reads as follows:
"Cpl Judy Labarre has displayed extraordinary resolve and exceptional devotion while employed at 16 Wing in the dual roles of lead procurement supply specialist and TIS help desk primary point of contact. Her first-rate professionalism and outstanding acumen were critical to minimizing the impact incurred due to severe manning shortages, exceeding all expectations associated with her rank and appointment. Her impeccable drill, dress and deportment were evident through her consistent involvement with all 16 Wing parade and ceremonial functions. Cpl Labarre exemplifies the Air Force core values, Excellence, Professionalism and Teamwork."
