On 27 January 2011, members of 16 Wing Headquarters - including the Wing Commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Terry Wood, participated in a snowshoe trek through the wilderness of Anderson Park Golf Course. We would like to thank MCpl Soraya Sheppard for organizing the event and selecting a perfect day for the outing. Along the way, we were fortunate to spot four deer grazing on evergreen trees and noted several sets of tracks left by local wildlife.
If you have not yet had the chance I would encourage all Base personnel to sign out a pair of snowshoes from Personnel Support Programs (PSP) and explore during your lunch hour the many trails just steps from your work area.
