Corporal Fraser Cameron accepts the 17 Wing Commander’s Commendation on behalf of the 17 Wing OPNijmegenTeam.  The Commendation was presented by the 17 Wing/Air Force Training Centre Commander Colonel Blaise Frawley on 28 February 2012.  The Commendation reads:  In recognition of their dedication and successful completion of the 2011 Op NIJMEGEN march. Even before being selected to the team, each member was required to commit to a robust training plan in order to prepare for this gruelling march. Notwithstanding the requirement to balance long hours, including early morning starts and weekends, with operational responsibilities such as Op LUSTRE, each individual team member individually marched more than 900kms in training. Drawing on the foundation provided by their training program, the 17 Wing Nijmegen Team worked together to overcome all obstacles and adverse weather conditions and with pride completed this very challenging, 4 day, 160km march. Their exemplary performance is a testament of their professionalism and dedication to Op NIJMEGEN .  Through their performance, conduct and comittment they were ideal ambassadors for both 17 Wing and the CF alike."

Personnel from the Team are Maj Collins, Capt Deutscher, Capt Dix, Capt Zdrova, Lt Thompson, Sgt Eves, Sgt Deutscher, MCpl Jacques, Cpl Cooney, Cpl Joyce-Podolas, Cpl Cameron, Cpl Puccio, Cpl Curtis, Pte Desruisseaux, and Pte Araneta.
