Dr. Jim McKeen

Dr. Jim McKeen was appointed as Honorary Colonel of the Canadian Forces Aerospace Warfare Centre located at 8 Wing Trenton ON in October 2015.

Honorary Colonel McKeen, Professor Emeritus of Queen’s University School of Business, completed his undergraduate and Masters of Science studies at Queen’s University and his Doctoral studies in Management Information Services from the University of Minnesota. Recognized in Canada and internationally as a leader in Information Technology, he has contributed to the education of generations of students as a professor at several notable universities in Canada, New Zealand, Europe, England and the United States. Honorary Colonel McKeen is a distinguished author of numerous Journal articles and conference and working papers on the subject. He has also conducted myriad research projects for industry, businesses and universities.

His life-long efforts with various professional affiliations show his commitment to educational and research excellence. Honorary Colonel McKeen was a member of the Intergovernmental Advisory Council and the Advisory Board for the Monieson Centre which conducts business research on Health Care. As an educator he received a research excellence award from the Queen’s School of Business in 2001 and was honoured in 2011 as the “IT Educator of the Year” by Computing World Canada.

Honorary Colonel McKeen and his family reside in Belleville ON.
