Mr. Sylvain Tremblay

Mr. Sylvain Tremblay, Senior Vice President of CPU Service Inc., was appointed as the first Honorary Colonel of 2 Air Expeditionary Squadron, Bagotville, QC in June 2014.

Honorary Colonel Tremblay was born in the Saguenay Valley and raised in Quebec City. Following a brief period living in the United States in his youth, he returned to Canada and enrolled in the famous Royal 22nd Regiment at the Citadelle in Quebec City. Following five years of service Honorary Colonel Tremblay completed studies as a computer programmer analyst at Cégep Limoilou of Quebec. Through his interest in technology and business he joined Arrow Electronics serving the Canadian and US markets. Building on his years of experience, he formed CPU, a leading Quebec company in information technology. He serves on the Board of Director of PetalMD a leading company in health software for doctors in Canada and is a one of the major shareholders.

Honorary Colonel Tremblay is very active in his community, serving on a number of foundations, volunteering as Honorary President for the Arthritis Society, Camp Odyssées and the Jean-Michel Anctil Foundation for Quebec youth.  With his passion for learning, he served on the Board of Directors of the Cégep Limoilou Foundation from 2006 to 2011 and continues as the president of the funding campaign for the School. Most notably, the campaign provides funds for new equipment and to support students through scholarship and bursary programs. He is the honorary president of the RCAF 90th anniversary Ball 2014.

Honorary Colonel Tremblay and his family reside in Quebec City.
