Mr. Tom Trifaux

Mr. Tom Trifaux was appointed as Honorary Colonel of 410 Tactical Fighter (Operational Training) Squadron, 4 Wing Cold Lake, AB, in June 2015.

Born and raised in Calgary Alberta, Honorary Colonel Trifaux attended the University of Calgary from 1977 to 1981. As part of the University of Calgary football program, he was an All Canadian Offensive Tackle in 1979 and in 1981, was the first round draft selection of the Toronto Argonauts. Tom had a 6 year career in the CFL including an 11 game stint with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1984. He played in two Grey Cup series while with Toronto and was a member of the 1983 Grey Cup Champions. 

Honorary Colonel Trifaux retired from the CFL in 1986 to pursue a business career. He built a ‘top performer’ sales and marketing career with most of his time invested in the organization development field.  An innovative problem solver, currently, Tom works as Director Canada West with Canadian Management Centre, an adult learning skill development company. He has served with large companies - Ernst & Young (E&Y) Director Business Development for Western Canada - as well as small business entrepreneurial software start-up (VP Sales & Marketing).  Honorary Colonel Trifaux started his own company in 2004, HeadStart Marketing and has acted as a VP Marketing for a number of clients. Tom is a professional speaker (leadership, culture of performance, team building) and a certified business coach. He serves as a trustee on the board of a small financial investment company and as Chairperson for a digital services company involved in the pet industry. Tom volunteers as a high school football coach and as a mentor for young up & coming business leaders. 

Honorary Colonel Trifaux is a father to three beautiful daughters and is married to his best friend, Jackie. In his spare time, Tom likes to read, cook and spend as much time as possible on his boat out on the water.
