Angela Mondou, President and founder of ICE Leadership, was appointed as Honorary Colonel of the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering, 16 Wing Borden, Ontario in April 2014.

Honorary Colonel Mondou was born into an Air Force family in Middleton NS, growing up in a number of Canadian cities as well as a period in Lahr Germany. Following graduation from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor Business Administration degree, she joined the Canadian Armed Forces as a Logistics Officer in 1986. Honorary Colonel Mondou served in a number of locations and missions at home and abroad, including service during the First Gulf War as the Mobile Air Movements and Logistics Officer. She also served on a United Nations mission in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1992. After eight years of service, she retired in 1994.

Honorary Colonel Mondou stepped into the “hi –tech” world, first as Director of New Business Solutions at Nortel Networks for seven years before assuming the post as Senior Director, Sales and Marketing with Research in Motion (RiM). During her four years at RiM, she was responsible for a number of exciting product lines including the launch of the Blackberry phone. In 2005 she launched her own company, ICE Leadership – a professional services firm that supports companies by providing marketing strategies, strategic sales and marketing leadership and execution discipline. She also is a Director of Protiviti, which provides independent risk consulting and internal audit services. Most recently she has accepted yet another role as President of Canada Company, a charitable foundation with the aim to “stand shoulder to shoulder with those who serve”.

Honorary Colonel Mondou earned the NATO and UN medals for her deployments. She also received the Award of Excellence from Nortel Networks for leadership. She is a director with the Canadian Forces Liaison Council, Executive VP Leadership with the International Leadership Forum Canada, a published author of “Hit the Ground Leading” and a noted national speaker on leadership, marketing and career strategies.

Honorary Colonel Mondou resides in Kitchener, Ontario.
