Infographic summarizing the Canadian Armed Forces’ contribution to flood relief in Quebec during Operation LENTUS 17-03. The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) helped with flood relief in the cities of Montérégie, Outaouais, Mauricie, Montréal, and Trois-Rivières in Québec with resources from the Royal Canadian Navy, the Canadian Army, and the Royal Canadian Air Force. At peak, 2,600 CAF members helped fill, deliver or place more than 640,000 sandbags, and cleaned up more than 1,000,000 sandbags. The Canadian Army deployed 900 reservists, CAF members from 72 units, and 400 vehicles to Operation LENTUS. The Royal Canadian Air Force deployed CAF members from four squadrons, six CH-146 Griffons, and one CH-147 Chinook to Operation LENTUS. Members of the Royal Canadian Air Force conducted 58 flights in total, resulting in 164 flight hours. The Royal Canadian Navy deployed CAF members from three reserve units, one frigate (HMCS Montreal) and 15 small boats.
