• OU*673 or 16673 was an Auster Air Observation Post Mk. VI, one of 36 in service from 17 March, 1948 to 27 March, 1958. '673 was written-off 16 January, 1957 while flying with the Canadian Joint Air Training Centre (CJATC) at RCAF Station Rivers, Manitoba. CJATC and 444 AOP Squadron trained the three Services in combined operations, with such tasks as artillery observation, training Army pilots, and providing Aircraft for the Tactical Research and Development Wing.
