  • Bristol Type 142M BlenheimThe Type 142M was a three-seat medium bomber with a pair of 840 horsepower Mercury VIII engines as power plants. The compact, sturdy design had the pilot seated in a generously glazed nose flanked by the two engines, into the nacelles of which the main wheels retracted rearwards. The raised position of the wings allowed the insertion of a bomb-bay with a 1,000 pound capacity. A Browning gun was fitted in the nose for the pilot, and a bomb-aiming position was provided in the same location. The Bristol B. I Mk. I dorsal turret containing a single Vickers K or Lewis gun was semi-retractable.
